Team BI-LO triathlete Amy Carter Hutchison won the women's overall in the Union county YMCA sprint triathlon , which consisted of a 300 yard pool swim, 12 mile bike, and 3 mile run. Way to go Amy!

The Liberty Bicycle French Broad Classic took place this past weekend. Team BI-LO racer Susan Jones finished an impressive 4th, 2nd in the field sprint, on Saturday with a line-up of regional pros on a fast 4 corner criterium in Brevard, NC. On Sunday she placed 8th on a technical triangle criterium. Great racing Susan! Enjoy some R&R.
Sole Team BI-LO racer Susan Jones competed in the Piedmont Triad Omnium race weekend. On Friday the criterium was a fast C shape 40 minute race in which Susan placed 4th. The road race took place on Saturday and was an 33 mile race on rolling course were Susan finished 11th. Great racing girl!

Team BI-LO racers Cissy and Danna traded in their mountain bikes to compete in the 5 mile Town Mountain time trial. The 26th Annual Town Mountain Hill Climb took place on Friday in Asheville, NC where Cissy placed 2nd and Danna 3rd in the Cat 4 Women's field. I think the prizes match our kits. Great riding girls!
Sole BI-LO racer Susan Jones competed in the North Carolina Road Championships. The Road Race took place in Salisbury, NC on a 13 mile loop where the women raced 41 miles both days. Susan placed 9th on Saturday and 3rd on Sunday in a field stacked with some of the strongest riders in the Southeast. Great racing Susan!
Team Manager, Dawn Strickland, returned home to Greenville after a few months in France. Although she was leading a study abroad with students, she was able to stay and play. Looks like the Alpe d"Huez was a little too enjoyable! Glad to have you home! Thanks to www.photobreton.com for the picture.
The XTERRA Southeast Championships took place Sunday in Pelham, Alabama. Team BI-LO XTERRA racer, Cissy Folwer, was hoping to clinch the SE Title but after a bad mountain bike crash and later stitches at the hospital, was unable to. Despite her crash she managed to finish 4th in the Women's 35-39 age group. Great job Cissy!

On Sunday, June 1st Team BI-LO racer Cissy Fowler participated in the XTERRA ACE Big Canyon Triathlon in Southern West Virginia. Even after swimming over snakes in a rapid filled river swim and getting lost on the 11 mile mountain bike, she still was able to finish 2nd in her age group and 5th overall for amateur women. Way to finish strong!
