Powerbar Sponsors TT Series

The Greenville Time Trial Series next event will be held at the Donaldson Center in Greenville, SC on Thursday June 5th.  Marketing expert, Danna Brown, was able to secure sponsorship from PowerBar for the events.  PowerBars and stickers will be available for participants and winners have a chance to receive PowerBar swag.  See you all at the TT!

XC State Championship Win

On a picture perfect day, Team BI-LO mountain bike extraordinare, Danna Brown raced Stump Jump in Spartanburg and took the South Carolin State XC Championship title for the Master Expert Women division.  A little bubbly is the perfect way to celebrate!   Great racing!

Team BI-LO Wins Tri the Rock

Tri The Rock is one of 7 sprint triathlons held at Upstate YMCA's in South Carolina.  Team BI-LO triathlete Amy Carter won the women's overall in Rock Hill, completing a 10 lap pool swim, 17 mile bike, and 5K run.  Way to keep winning Amy!

Podium Finish at XTERRA West Champs

On an incredibly hot day with temperatures in the upper 90’s, Team BI-LO racer Cissy Fowler, placed third in her division in Temecula, CA at the XTERRA West Championships.  Cissy finished the 1-mile swim in Vail Lake in 31 minutes, crushed the 20-mile bike in 2 hours and 12 minutes, and stayed strong on the 6-mile up-and-down trail run to finish in a total time of 3 hours and 55 minutes.  A hot day and rough terrain didn't keep Cissy from a podium finish for Team BI-LO.  Great job Cissy!

Team BI-LO Wins Third in Georgia Cup GC

Team BI-LO racer Susan Jones rode her way to a third overall in the GC (General Classification) of the Georgia Cup Cummings race May 10 and 11th, which included a Time Trial, Road Race, and Crit.  Susan placed 4th in the Road Race and 3rd in the criterium to finish strong in the overall against local pros.  Great racing girl!

Team BI-LO Starts Safe Harbor 8K Run

The Harbor 8K Run road race and 2 mile fun run/walk/pooch parade is the largest fund raiser for Safe Harbor, a shelter for battered women and their children. The race course begins at County Square before weaving through scenic downtown Greenville, the zoo area and ends in Cleveland Park.  The 6th annual Safe Harbor run was held on Mother's Day weekend.  Team BI-LO lead out the start of the run/walk with help from Fleet Feet. Remember, May 31st is the Safe Harbor Cycling Ride in Iva, SC.  Join Team BI-LO in supporting this great event!

Clemson Triathlon Win

Team BI-LO triathlete, Amy Carter, won her age group at the Clemson Triathlon on Saturday, May 10 in Clemson, SC.  She beat 12 other women to take the win in the 25-29 age group with a swim time of 15:53, Bike 31:00 and run 22:58.   Melissa Weddell competed in a relay team of local Clemson Chicken Riders and won the relay division.  Great racing girls!

Greenville TT Series

The Greenville Spinners and Team Bi-Lo are hosting a time trial series featuing a 10 mile out and back at the Donaldson Center in Greenville, SC.  In order to compete you must be a member of the Greenville Spinners, or join for $15 the day of the comptietion.  Hope to see everyone there!

Team Bi-Lo Wins Uwharrie XTERRA

Sunday, May 4th was the second annual XTERRA Uwharrie off road triathlon, which took place at Kings mountain Point in the Badin Lake Recreation Area of the Uwharrie National Forest.  Team Bi-Lo racer Cissy Fowler was the first female competitor across the line with a time of 3:12:17.  Great job! 

Steadman Hawkins Cycling Classic

Team Bi-Lo raced Friday at the Steadman Hawkins Cycling Classic in downtown Spartanburg.  Team Bi-Lo racers Jenn, Iris, Kim, and Melissa competed in the Women's 3/4 race taking 6th, 7th, and 8th.  Susan raced in the Women's Pro race later in the evening finishing with the peleton for an impressive 34th place!  Great racing ladies!
